How to Cancel Your Service

If you need to cancel your BearHost service, follow these steps. We're sorry to see you go.

Before You Cancel

Download Your Data

1. Back up all website files via File Manager or FTP
2. Export databases via phpMyAdmin
3. Download email backups if needed
4. Save any important configurations

Check Refund Eligibility

• Within 30 days: Full refund available
• After 30 days: No refund for remaining time
• Domain registrations are non-refundable

How to Cancel

Method 1: Account Dashboard

1. Log in to your BearHost account
2. Go to Services → My Services
3. Click on the service to cancel
4. Click Request Cancellation
5. Choose cancellation type:
   • Immediate — Service ends now
   • End of Billing Period — Service ends at renewal date
6. Provide cancellation reason (optional)
7. Confirm cancellation

Method 2: Support Request

1. Open a support ticket
2. Request service cancellation
3. Include your account email and service details
4. Our team will process within 24 hours

What Happens After Cancellation

Immediate Cancellation

• Service is terminated immediately
• All data is permanently deleted
• Refund processed if eligible

End of Billing Period

• Service continues until renewal date
• No automatic renewal
• Data deleted after expiration

Keep Your Domain

If you registered a domain with your hosting:

• Domain is separate from hosting
• Domain stays in your account
• You can transfer it to another registrar
• Domain renewal is separate from hosting

Reactivation

Changed your mind? Contact support within 7 days of cancellation to potentially restore your service and data.
